Ever becoming God's Word in practice.

Scholarship Fund

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”  Mark 10:14

The very first confirmation at Christ Anglican Church was held in October of 2004 for (at the time) the youngest member of our parish.  Emmaline, daughter of parishioners Bob and Sally Shoup, promised to follow Jesus Christ.  We prayed that Our Father’s hand would ever be over her; that His Holy Spirit would ever be with her and so lead her in the knowledge and obedience of His Word.  Today Emmaline attends St. Andrew’s Academy in Lake Almanor, California.  It is an orthodox Anglican academy equipping their students with a classical education, as well as the wisdom of the ages so they will serve God and their fellow man with utmost virtue.  You can visit their website at http://standrewsacademy.org/sta/home.html and actually see Ema pictured with the choir on the bottom right.  The school is a valuable asset for the future generation of Anglicans and Christ Anglican has begun a scholarship fund to support Ema’s return this fall.  Furthermore, we pray mightily for God to bless our parish with many children.  In hope of this, funds will be set aside to assist more of God’s precious children.   We pray Our Savior will place it upon the hearts of many to assist in this mission and have also made available a pickle jar on Sunday mornings for parishioners to contribute their spare change.

“This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”  II Corinthians 9:12

The food pantry has been very busy and getting busier.   Please continue to remind members to look for families needing temporary or regular help.  We really appreciate all the people who pick up a few extra items when shopping and bring them by the pantry.  It is such an easy thing to do, and so needed and appreciated.  The most needed items are still cooking oil and canned fruit (except applesauce) and black beans.  They are items not usually available from Manna food bank and always needed.
